Paul Bachleitner
JAG Project Director
Paul became JAG’s first-ever staff member and project director in 2010. He has over 12 years of experience in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector, including posts at The Minneapolis Foundation and as a director of grantwriting, fundraising, and communications activities for two Minneapolis-area social and racial justice nonprofits.
He has also worked for over three years as a communications and development consultant on projects that include campaigns, web communications and e-newsletters, fundraising plans, profiles, and speeches. His consulting for Diversity in Philanthropy Project produced a case study that examines how foundations such as C.S. Mott and Marguerite Casey communicate their work on diversity and inclusiveness. Some of his other clients have been: Open Society Institute, Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy, the Ford Foundation, and the Grantmakers for Children, Youth and Families.
Paul graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University. His work and interests outside of philanthropy include acting, film reporting, radio hosting, and creative writing, for which he has received national distinction. You can contact him by e-mail or phone at 651-785-6893.
