Guidelines for the JAG Blog
Get involved with JAG and join the conversation
The JAG blog is a space where you can learn about, participate in, and contribute to the conversation about equity for diverse communities. The goal is shared ownership and mutual engagement.
Here are some general rules of thumb for how we'll develop the conversation together:
- For right now, the JAG website is maintained by only one person, JAG's project director Paul Bachleitner.
- Paul has two-three hours per week to devote to the blog.Paul plans to add one new posting per week. The remainder of his time will be spent responding to comments on the blog and moderating discussions.
- In moderating comments, Paul intends to be as permissive as possible while ensuring discussions are respectful and not abusive.
- Commentary that includes criticism and complaints are as just as encouraged as commentary that praises, celebrates, and promotes ideas. We want to have discussions that are complete and representational. However, commentary that includes foul language and blatant personal attacks will not be permitted (the final arbiter is Paul).
- Requests to write guest posts, suggest the subject of an entry, or to repost entries written elsewhere are encouraged.
- Feel free to contact Paul with other questions, comments, and thoughts.
