Local JAG Networks

JAG is a national network of identity-based affinity groups. However, there are other, independent networks of identity-based affinity groups that are also called Joint Affinity Groups but operate on the local level. No formal connection exists between national JAG and the local JAG networks.

In fall 2011, national JAG hosted convenings with four of the local JAG networks: 

• The Bay Area
• Los Angeles
• New York
• Twin Cities

Building Further Connections

These convenings explored possibilities to build connections between the networks and national JAG. In 2012, national JAG intends to develop liaisons between national and local groups, coordinate one or more joint conference calls, and potentially share resources and other information through the JAG website. Local networks may also choose to create and make use of webspace on the national website. Details will be available later in 2012.
